We are setting up our Epicor Part Classes for our company install. Is there any recommendations/best practices for this configuration? Our business profile is assembly with 2-3 larger $ items assembled together with 20-30 smaller $ items (wiring) built into the assembly.

We have discussed:  noun, adjective setup or a code number like what is used for commodity codes or just a a single noun descriptor....

Thoughts?

Part class is only for financial categorization of inventory based on my understanding. We are planning to use it as a financial reporting tool only and will develop UD fields for more precise identification.
